On the afternoon of Dec. 18, Dr. Sun Xian, assistant professor of finance from Carey Business School of Johns Hopkins University, gave a lecture in the 3rd teaching building of ECUST. Prof. Ruan Yongping, director of the ECUST Institute of Corporate Finance, presided over the lecture, which was attended by relevant teachers and postgraduates of ECUST School of Business.

Dr. Sun Xian gave a wonderful lecture entitled “The Role of Political System and Economic System in Transition Economy: An empirical study of China’s listed companies”. From an overseas expert’s perspective, Dr. Sun researched on the overall influence of China’s political system and economic system. Taking China’s listed companies as examples and China’s regional policies and economies as specific research objects, Dr. Sun drew innovative conclusions based on empirical evidence and theoretical analysis.

During the lecture, the teachers and students had in-depth and heated discussion with Dr. Sun on the research.
