E-learning Platform of School of Business Officially Released

The “E-learning Platform” of ECUST School of Business, after a year of preparation, was officially released on Dec. 18 during the Alumni Reunion Day of the school. The “E-learning Platform” contains 6 major functions, including online courses, video conferences, e-library, professional forums, corporate training and online recruitment. All students, teachers and alumni of the school have access to the platform, where they can conveniently obtain rich learning resources.

As the core of the platform, the “Online Course” section, which organizes numerous learning materials with scientific methods of classifying, displays various informative courses that can be easily searched. The “Video Conference” section enables alumni to easily start a video conference and invite others to participate in it. Meanwhile, through the links of the “E-library” section, students, teachers and alumni have access to the ECUST e-library and Vault Career Library to share various resources. The “Professional Forum” section contains several sub-forums of different industries and professions, where all the course-related discussions and resources are displayed. Through the “Corporate Training” section, the school has launched a training course system in cooperation with enterprises. Students and alumni can sign up for the courses, some of which are senior management staff training courses. On the “Online Recruitment” section, a platform where information of talents and jobs is shared, students and alumni can publish their resumes while the school helps to post jobs.

According to Deputy Dean Ma Ling, the “E-learning Platform” is a free information-sharing environment offered by School of Business to students, teachers and alumni for their life-long studies and career development. Therefore, the school has hired professionals to develop and maintain the platform. In the future, the platform will have more functions, such as social networking services and virtual libraries. It is the hope of the school that communication and development of students, teachers and alumni will be further promoted through the “E-learning Platform”.
