The 2014 ECUST School of Business Alumni Council Meeting was held in the Yifu building on November 8th. Over 50 representatives, including the School’s teachers and alumni, attended the meeting. Prof. Huang Lujin, deputy dean of School of Business, presided over the meeting.

Dean Wu Baijun making a report on the School’s development

Prof. Wu Baijun, Dean of School of Business, expressed warm welcome to all the council members. Then, he made a report on the School’s development over the past few years in the aspects of faculty, education, disciplines, research, international exchanges, etc. He said that with the great support of alumni, the School was sure to achieve the goal of becoming a renowned business school with a strong sense of social responsibility, the capacity for internationally-oriented education and a profound influence in the modern manufacturing industry and producer service sector.

Deputy Dean Huang Lujin reporting on the work plan of the School’s Alumni Center

Prof. Huang Lujin reported on the work plan of the School’s Alumni Center for the next year. She introduced that the Alumni Center would further strengthen communication with the alumni, improve the working mechanism, and work together with the alumni to make the Alumni Association a better home.

The Articles of the Alumni Association was adopted by acclamation.

The meeting examined and adopted the Articles of the ECUST School of Business Alumni Association, and determined the obligations and members of the three alumni committees of the Council.

Heated discussion

The representatives had heated discussion during the meeting, where they put forward a lot of precious suggestions for the School’s alumni work and future development.

The Standing Council of the Alumni Association held a meeting afterwards, where the members had future discussion on related issues.
