Academician Qian Xuhong, president of ECUST, delivering a speech
Prof. Qian Xuhong pointed out that chemical engineering industry is an important sector of the national economy. Since the 18th National Congress was held, environmental protection and balanced economic development have become intrinsic requirement for upgrading China’s economic structure. Increasing the efficiency of resource and energy utilization and improving environmental quality have become the primary consideration for the chemical engineering industry. ECUST will establish a communication platform by integrating superior resources of the university, and provide the industry with full service that includes science and technology, personnel training and resources, so that the whole chemical engineering industry chain would be open up, which would bring more cooperative opportunities for the industry.
