ECUST School of Business and Songtao Miao Autonomous County Cooperate on "Integration into City Project"

On October 22, ECUST School of Business and Songtao Miao Autonomous County of Guizhou Province signed a cooperative agreement on the “Integration into City Project”. The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Wu Baijun, dean of ECUST School of Business, and government leaders from Songtao Miao Autonomous County, including Mr. Zou Longxing, head of Discipline Inspection Commission, Mr. Wang Yong, minister of Organization Department, Mr. Zeng Jie and Mr. Zhao Shuguang, deputy county chiefs. As the first public welfare program of the “Integration into City Project”, the Training Program for Leaders of Songtao Miao Autonomous County held its opening ceremony on the same day. ECUST School of Business will send 10 to 12 teachers to provide training courses for leaders of the county for a one-year period.

After the signing ceremony, Prof. Wu Baijun gave the first lecture on “Analysis of China’s Economy”. With his impressive humorous style, Prof. Wu made an in-depth analysis of the achievements of the development of China’s economy, the problems in the economic transition, factors influencing the growth of China’s economy and enterprises, etc. Prof. Wu’s lecture provided environment analysis for the development and strategic choice of enterprises in Songtao County.

Apart from the training program, ECUST School of Business also encourages its MBA and EMBA students to take part in the “Integration into City Project”, in which the School cooperates with the county government to provide help for migrant workers and leftover children of the county.
This is the second program of “Integration into City Project” since 2011 when ECUST School of Business signed the agreement of the Project with Guangan City of Sichuan Province.
