SINOPEC-ECUST Energy and Chemical Economic Management Research Center (Shanghai) Holds Its First Plenary Session

On the afternoon of July 15th, the SINOPEC-ECUST Energy and Chemical Economic Management Research Center (Shanghai) (hereafter referred to as the Research Center) held its First Plenary Session at ECUST. Prof. Wu Baijun, dean of ECUST School of Business and deputy director of the Research Center (Shanghai), presided over the session.
Prof. Wu Baijun introduced the background, objectives and preparation process of the Research Center, and also put forward specific requirements on the priorities in the work after the establishment of the Research Center, including clarifying research topics, fostering characteristics and sorting out key research orientations.
The session announced the personnel composition of the Research Center’s four laboratories (Energy and Chemical Planning and Policies, Energy and Chemical Technical Economy, Energy Finance and Market, Energy and Chemical Supply Chain) and one administration office.
During the session, the participants had discussion on the Research Center’s mode of operation, research orientations, development of faculty and students, etc. The next-step work plan of the Research Center was also confirmed after discussion.
The SINOPEC-ECUST Energy and Chemical Economic Management Research Center was established in Beijing on 29 June 2013, based on the approval of SINOPEC (China Petrochemical Corporation) and ECUST (East China University of Science and Technology).
