The 6th ECUST MBA International Festival, which lasted for a whole month, came to a successful conclusion at the end of December 2013. The festival, which integrated academic, commercial, cultural, physical, charitable activities, has fully displayed the talents, wisdom and good will of the teachers, students and alumni of the ECUST MBA Program.

The participants of the festival included MBA students, alumni and teachers of ECUST and other universities in China, as well as philanthropic entrepreneurs, organizations and individuals. All the donations collected during the festival would be given to Dawang Primary School in Guangxi Province and Madihui Boarding Primary School in Shanxi Province in order to buy winter clothes, schoolbags and stationery for the poor pupils and to pay for their tuition and living expenses.

“ECUST Voice” Singing Contest

On the morning of December 22nd, the “ECUST Voice” Singing Contest was held. The 10 finalists displayed their vocal talents.

It is leant that the sponsor would produce DVDs with the video clips of the singing contest for charity sale. The money collected from the charity sale would be used to buy winter supplies for the pupils of Dawang Primary School.

“Zhihui Salon” Business Case Competition

In the “Zhihui Salon” Business Case Competition held on the morning of December 22nd, the five teams fully demonstrated their brilliance, creativity and team spirit.

International Christmas Festival

During the cheerful International Christmas Festival, the Chinese students taught the international students how to make dumplings. The dumpling-making activity collected more than 1,000 yuan, which would also be donated to the primary schools in the poor regions.

In addition, exciting football games and basketball games were held, during which the MBA students showed their passion, vigor and team spirit.

On the afternoon of December 22nd, a charity gala was held in Yifu Building, making a successful ending of the 6th ECUST MBA International Festival. The gala was attended by the representatives from Shanghai MBA Association, the representatives from many university MBA associations including TJU and SHUFE, as well as the leaders, teachers and all the previous and present MBA association members of ECUST School of Business. The gala collected donations of more than 30,000 yuan.

Since the middle of November 2013, the ECUST MBA students have together experienced various activities, including singing contest, case competition, football games, basketball games, monthly calendar charity sale, international food festival, charity gala, etc. All the donations collected would be announced publicly on the MBA weibo and weixin platforms.
