The 2014 Shanghai Business School Deans’ Symposium, an annual event launched by the Shanghai Management Science Society, was held at ECUST on December 17th. Prof. Wang Fanghua, director of the Shanghai Management Science Society, presided over the symposium. 13 deans/deputy deans from different business schools in Shanghai attended the symposium. Prof. Wu Baijun, dean of ECUST School of Business, on behalf of the university and the school, expressed warm welcome to all the guests.

The theme of the symposium this year is “Sustainable Development of China’s Business Schools”. The attendees had extensive and in-depth discussion on discipline development, faculty development, resource allocation, teaching and research, inter-school exchange, etc. They all expressed the hope to promote the sustainable development of China’s business schools through resource sharing and complementing each other’s advantages.
