The year of 2013 marks the 30th anniversary of the founding of ECUST School of Business. To commemorate its 30th birthday, the School held a ceremony on November 16th at ECUST (Xuhui campus). About 1,300 people, including the School’s faculty, students, alumni and cooperative partners, participated in this joyful event. One special guest invited to the ceremony was Mr. Chen Minheng, former ECUST President and former dean of School of Business, whose presence excited all the attendees.

On the morning that day, before the ceremony started, Mr. Yang Xianjin, Chairman of University Council, had a cordial discussion with the alumni representatives of the School. 

Mr. Chen Siwei, Honorary President of ECUST, sent a video message to congratulate the 30th anniversary of the School.

Mr. Wu Baijun, Dean of ECUST School of Business, addressed the ceremony. He reviewed the history and achievements of the School, and said that he was very proud of the alumni’s innovative spirit, solidarity and friendship, as well as their contributions to society. Over the past 30 years, the School has cultivated 15,000 alumni.

"Five Best" Awards

 

Based on previous online voting, the School unveiled "Five Best" awards, which expressed the alumni and students’ gratitude to the teachers.  Later, the faculty and students of the School presented wonderful performances, such as chorus, Latin dance, tap dance, poem reading, etc.

It is believed that with the support of the university leaders, school alumni and all sectors of society, and through the hard work and continuous innovation of the faculty and students, ECUST School of Business is sure to develop faster and eventually achieve its goal of becoming a first-rate business school in the world.
