The ECUST Academician Forum on Engineering Management Innovation was successfully held in ECUST on November 14th-15th. The forum was sponsored by ECUST and undertaken by School of Business.

The forum was presided over by Prof. Wang Jiming, academician of CAE (Chinese Academy of Engineering), director of CAE Management Department, chairman of the ECUST board and doctoral supervisor. Academicians of CAE Wang Zhongtuo, Wang Yingluo, He Jishan and Guo Chongqing were invited to make keynote speeches on the forum. Leaders of ECUST, including Academician Qian Xuhong, president of ECUST, and Prof. Yang Xianjin, chair of the university council, addressed the forum.

President Qian Xuhong extended warm congratulations on the opening of the forum and thanked the academicians for their great support to the development of ECUST. Prof. Yang Xianjin stated that ECUST attaches great importance to and will continue to support the development of engineering management.

Academician Wang Zhongtuo made a keynote speech on “Information and Ideas on Talents and Education of Engineering Management”.

Academician Wang Yingluo made a keynote speech on “Knowledge System and Knowledge Innovation of Engineering Management”.

Academician He Jishan made a keynote speech on “Primary Investigation into the Theoretical System”.

Academician Guo Chongqing made a keynote speech on “Challenges for China’s Management Science in the next 20 years”.

Academician Wang Jiming hoped that ECUST would cultivate more outstanding talents in engineering management, and believed that the discipline of engineering management would achieve better development under the guidance of the academicians and the support of the university.
