At the invitation of the Institute of Energy Economy and Environment Management, Dr. Zhang Chao from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, gave a lecture entitled “Research Progress of Energy and Environment Policy Modeling” to the teachers and students of ECUST School of Business on Jan. 7, 2013. The lecture, presided over by Prof. Ma Tieju, was attended by teachers including Prof. Kong Lingcheng, Prof. Yu Lihong as well as some doctoral students and postgraduates.

First of all, Dr. Zhang analyzed the development trend of energy and environment policy modeling, and then expounded on the characteristics and latest research progress of the skills and economic models of energy and environment policies. In the end, he introduced the applications of two energy and environment policy models with the case of evaluating China’s water pollution reduction policy. 

After the lecture, the teachers and students present had in-depth discussion with Dr. Zhang about the latest research problems of energy and environment policy. Dr. Zhang also expressed that he was very willing to have further exchanges with the teachers and students of our school in the future.
