On July 1st, Prof. Tian Guang from School of Business, Shantou University, gave a lecture entitled “Marketing in China – thinking based on Business Anthropology” to the teachers and students of School of Business in the 3rd teaching building.
First, Prof. Tian introduced a core idea of marketing to the students and scholars present – to find a latent demand, and then proved the great effect of anthropology on marketing.
Through expounding on the important role of anthropology in marketing, Prof. Tian proved that the study of modern business administration is closely linked to anthropology. Later, Prof. Tian introduced the definition of marketing, the understanding of advertising and the cognition of the society as a whole from the perspective of anthropology.
Next, Prof. Tian introduced the specific applications of anthropological methods in business administration.
In the following two-day training, Prof. Tian gave a lecture on the topic of “Business Anthropology and Cross-Cultural Communication” to the teachers and students of School of Business.
By attending Prof. Tian’s lectures, the teachers and students have had a deeper understanding of Business Anthropology, which is a new branch of science. The lectures are very interactive and enlightening.
