About Dr. Konstantinos Salonitis
Dr Konstantinos Salonitis (Dip Eng, MSc, PhD, MBA, PGCAP, CEng MIMechE, FHEA) is a Senior Lecturer in Manufacturing Systems and the Manufacturing Systems and Management Programme Director. He graduated from University of Patras with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering in 2001 and was awarded a PhD in Manufacturing Processes in 2006. In 2014 he completed a Master in Business Administration from the Hellenic Open University. He has worked as a Research Engineer at the University of Patras in several research projects. He has participated in 11 European Commission funded projects as Project Manager or Technical Site Manager. He is currently working in two EPSRC funded projects, one KTP, one European Project and a Newton-fund project. Dr Salonitis has published more than 150 research papers in major international journals and internationally referred conferences and authored two books. His main research interests include Modelling of manufacturing processes and systems, sustainability in manufacturing and non-conventional manufacturing processes.
